vmware-toolbox-cmd stat

Hi all,

I've installed the vmware-toolbox-cmd package on my VM.

Running the command:

     #vmware-toolbox-cmd stat swap

     622 MB

Is the above swap usage value being pulled from the host esxi or the guest VM?

From the documentation of vmware-toolbox-cmd stat, I gather it is coming frmo the host, but not 100% sure -so would be great if anyone knowledgeable in this area can confirm.

btw, when i do a esxtop with 'm' switch on the esxi console, it shows swap as 1000 MB. So if the toolbox-cmd is pulling the same from host, why is there a difference of 400 MB? (bit confused there)
