Re: Using local disk storage; each guest OS it's own (physical) disk?

Thanks for answering.

 

Makes sense that when using individual disks for each guest OS,  most of them will be constantly in idle. But in that case I think I would still separate the mass storage as that is only used occasionally during the day. The OS's could all run from a single storage group. But what kind of storage setup will be good enough to host several guest hosts without being a bottleneck?

 

When I go through the documentation I mainly read about SAN storage, iscsi, nas,  but hardly about local storage. I also read somewhere (not sure where anymore) about a setup where ssd's are combined with sata, creating a kind of hybrid. Not sure if I can accomplish such with local drives.
