I am sure its a simple answer ,but I have been beating my head on the wall trying to find a fix. The scenario is this :
1. Vcenter has several host in various clusters. All built at the same time with one shared NFS share among them all.
2. I add a new host to the data center (I have tried standalone and also added it to a cluster as well).
3. The new host sees its local drive as a datastore as expected , but I need to add the shared NFS datastore.
4. At the host level I go to configuration -storage -add storage and add the NFS share.
It shows up and normal with NFS(1) as the name. I cannot rename it as it says NFS already exist. I understand that it exist in the vcenter DB, but how do you add this new host or many host to an existing environment and maintain the same name of the NFS share? vcenter 5.5 , esxi 5.5
Thanks you for your help
