Conexão interna para storage iSCSI não retorna LUNs (iSCSI Storage internal connection won´t return LUNs)

Boa noite a todos,

Estou montando um pequeno laboratório, consistindo em dois ESXi acessando um storage iSCSI. O problema que surge é que um dos hosts não consegue acessá-lo.

Aqui algumas informações sobre o ambiente e o problema:

1 - O storage iSCSI é uma máquina virtual rodando no primeiro ESXi;

2 - O segundo ESXi acessa o storage e visualiza as LUNs normalmente;

3 - O primeiro host (no qual a VM do storage está rodando) não visualiza as LUNs;

4 - Se eu mover essa máquina virtual do storage para o host 2, o host 1 passa a ver as LUNs e o host 2 perde a visualização;

5 - Após adicionar o IP do storage em Dynamic Discovery, as informações com o IQN deste são preenchidas em Static Discovery;

6 - A configuração consiste em um único switch virtual;

7 - O problema acontece com Software iSCSI e com Hardware Dependent iSCSI;

8 - O problema aconteceu com uma VM storage rodando OpenFiler e SanSymphony-V.

Resumidamente: o host que roda a máquina virtual iSCSI não consegue acessar as LUNs. Ele chega a se conectar (por isso consegue visualizar seu IQN) porém é deslogado imediamente. O problema acontece independente da forma como o iSCSI é feito (hardware ou software) e independe do storage iSCSI (OpenFiler e SanSymphony-V tiveram o mesmo resultado).

Hardware são servidores HP Proliant DL360 G7 com NICs Broadcom e vSphere 5.5.

Eu gostaria de saber se alguém já experimentou um cenário similar a esse e obteve resultados diferentes.

I´m building a small lab with two ESXi accessing an iSCSI Storage. The issue is: one of the two hosts is unable to access the storage.

Here some facts about the problem and the environment:

1 - The iSCSI Storage is a virtual machine running in the first host;

2 - The second host is able to access the storage and view its LUNs;

3 - The first host (where the machine is running) is unable to view its LUNs;

4 - If I move the storage VM to the second host, host 1 starts viewing its LUNs and now host 2 is unable to;

5 - After adding the storage IP address in "Dynamic Discovery", IQN information are filled in into "Static Discovery";

6 - Network configuration consists of a single virtual switch;

7 - Problem happens using Software or Dependent Hardware iSCSI;

8 - Problem happens with an OpenFiler VM and a SanSymphony-V VM.

To sum it up: the host running the iSCSI virtual machine is unable to access its LUNs. It is able to log in at first (based on storage IQN showing up in "Static Discovery") but it logs out immediately after. Issue occurs if using hardware or software iSCSI and anykind of iSCSI storage.

Hardware are HP Proliant DL360 G7 server with Broadcom NICs and vSphere 5.5

I´d like to know if someone has already built a similar setup and obtained different results.
