In our virtual environment, we have components as:
- Storage: Hitachi (USPV model) and EMC (VNX7500 model)
- Physical servers: Blade HP C7000 BL620 G7 and BL680 G5
- ESXi version: 5.0.0, 623860
Our issue:
Every LUNs mapped from EMC are multipathing with any HP server model. But Hitachi LUNs mapped to BL620 G7 are not multipathing although when map those Hitachi LUNs to BL680 G5 are multipathing, too.
According to my observing: Hitachi LUN mapped on both vmhba of BL620 and I can see them from Storage Adapter in vSphere Client. But when add storage, the LUN divided into two disk device which have the same UUID. So I wondered about multipathing function problem of ESXi host (running on BL620) and was rebooted ESXi host, but the issue still ...
