I am setting up an ESXi Test Server. I have a Dell R510.
I found some SATA disk drives of various sizes I inserted them into the 8 slots.
Slot 0 -- 2TB drive
Slot 1 -- 2TB drive
Slot 2 – 1 TB drive
Slots 3-6 – 500 MB drives
Slot 7 – 250 MB drive
In the RAID utility, I have to 3 VDs. 3TB, 2GB, 250
When I install ESXi 5.5, I will need to choose a storage location.,
If I select the 3TB option, I will have a large datastore which is ok,,
Question is Once ESXi is installed along with a vCenter VM, will I be able to allocate the 2gb and 250MB VSs for VMs ?
