Spanned datastore - Is there way to find out on which specific LUN(s) resides flat .vmdk file?

vSphere SDK guide tells that: "If any of the LUNs within a VMFS volume fails or becomes unavailable, only virtual machines with data on that LUN are affected. All other virtual machines with virtual disks residing on other LUNs continue to function normally." For instance I have one datastore which spanned across three LUNs and VM with one virtual disk located on given datastore. Is there way to find out which LUNs blackout will affect this VM?

I've already tried to crack this nut with vSphere Web Services SDK, vCenter Storage Monitoring Services SDK, Virtual Disk Development Kit and CLI vmkfstool. The last one, vmkfstool, is looks very promising, but only through undocumented features (http://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2012/08/some-useful-vmkfstools-hidden-options.html) which I was not able to use in installations I've tried (5.5 and 5.1).

Maybe it's completely impossible due to virtualization policies? Please give me a hint if you have one, because I completely got stuck
