An additional question, is when I have added a datastore in the past, I have re-scanned both HBA adapters. Its seems though just re-scanning one, will make the device appear on the other as well. Do I need to re-scan both? On adding or deleting?
I have VCenter set to not re-scan automatically with the vpxd filter. So after I delete I will need to re-rescan the HBAs on each host(one or both depending on the above question).
As with the previous poster, this should have no risk of an APD correct? Since the VMFS partition is gone and of course no VM IO, you simply cannot get an APD. So devices(unformatted) can come and go as they please on a host? Ie I can have an Array present a Lun to all hosts. And immediately take it back, and nothing will happen? I would just maybe have to re-scan just to clean up the devices? Thank you in advance very much.
