Problems with NFS mount

Hello Everyone,

I have a vSphere server with 8 network connections (6 used). The network connection are configured as follows:

192.168.100.X - Management Network - Switch 1

192.168.101.X - Production Network - Switch 1

192.168.102.X - Lab Network - Switch 1

192.168.103.X - Server Network - Switch 1

192.168.104.X - Backup Network - Switch 2

192.168.105.15 - Vmotion network  - Switch 2

I recently acquired (cobbled together) a new storage system that is running CentOS 6.5. I have exported the files i want to share in the /etc/exports file and have made sure that i am able to mount the share from the 192.168.105.X network (no problems there)

My /etc/exports file looks like this: /export/test 192.168.105.*(rw,sync,no_root_squash)

I have added the VMkernel to my V-Motion network adapter, so that i have the following showing in my Network Adapter properties vSwitch (120 Ports), VMkernel (192.168.105.20), and V-Motion (192.168.105.15).

When i try and add the NFS storage from Configuration/Storage it is giving me an error "Unable to connect to NFS server An unknown error has occurred".

This is the first time that i have tried to do such a connection, normally i would go though the management network (in the past this has worked well) but i wanted to isolate the networks more.

On another note i am not able to ping the Vmotion network (192.168.105.15) or VMkernel (192.168.105.20). I did notice that when looking at the Network Adapter properties that all of the adapters seem to have their default gateway set to 192.168.100.253 (which is the gate way on switch 1) I thought about taking the gateway off (as i think the system may be trying to send NFS mounts over the 192.168.100.X network) but when i went to edit the gateway information the system said that i could bring down the management network if i changed the setting.

Maybe i am just looking in the wrong place (this is my first attempt to set up V-Motion)

Thank you for the help.

Brent
