vmware Replication LAN or SAN

I would like to know your experience with vmware replication without SRM over LAN.

Arquitecture

  -300 virtual machine in two CPD active-active. 130 vm with replication

  CDP1

     200 vm. 120 required Replication or DR solution

     Host in  5.1 version.

     Storage NetApp Fas3250

CDP2

     100 vm. 80 required Replication or DR solution

     Host in  5.1 version.

     Storage NetApp Fas3250

The CPD are connected with black fiber. The latency is < 1ms and two fabric are extended.

Now we have few bidereccional snapmirror over fc for CIFS volume but for vm service we are testing vmware replication without SRM.

What is your experience? LAN or SAN?

One solution gives better performance with SRM?
