Are you asking if is better replicate your data using array based replication (ABR) or vSphere Replication (VR) ?
If yes, since you've a extended Fabric, the ABR replication will gives you a better RPO than VR... but if RPO is not important for you needs, VR give you a good option too.
About performance, the VR will not impact the source virtual machine, since VR uses async replication, but if you will use ABR using synchronous replication, you should keep your eyes on latency, cause if the latency if high between sites, the source virtual machine may be affected.
