Re: Pro and cons for 16TB LUN's

- How many VMs will there be on one such LUN and would the LUN queue depth be able to handle the IO --> Each LUN will have around 9 to 10 vm's. Really not a big change from current setup just making the LUN's bigger due to growing storage demands for the VM's.

- Will the LUN be mirrored and do you need to perform DR tests on that LUN making LUN-snapshots? If yes, think about the snapshot size needed. --> NO

- What is the likelyhood of that one LUN failing for some odd reason and what would the restore time be from backup and will you then still meet your SLA? --> All part of the same disk array with Raid 6 and spare drive in the array so likelyhood of failing is minimal

- Can your system do autotiering and would it be better to mix disks in a LUN? Yes the system is autotiering but think they said when setting this up to keep the disks separate as to each group.

So really bottom line is to keep an eye on the queue depth on each LUN and IO and I should be per say fine ?
