VMware Certified and VMware Supported are two different things. If the product is not on the VMware HCL, you may find yourself in a situation that, if it requires you to get ahold of VMware Support for any reason, they may ask that you reach out to the vendor.
You may want to contact the vendor and find out what the plans are for them to get the product on the VMware HCL, as it is their responsibility.
