Looking to change the default "Datastore usage on disk" alarm on a per VM basis.
I am basically looking to disable the alarm on individual datastores that are used on single VM's with thick partitions where growth is not a concern. Is this option available, or is there a...

That is impossible. You have to use Xen to export the existing VMs to a temporary storage first - and then re-import them once you have created a regular VMFS datastore.

Assuming your disk/LUN has a throughput of ~125MB/s, this would explain [1] with read and write combined to ~250MB/s, and it would explain [3] with read-only access. The reason for [2] is due to the way...

But how LUN can have such a cap? Write bandwidth is proportional to the number of disks (2 — 220 MBps, 3 — 330 MBps, etc), but read is limited independently on number of disks.Read bandwidth when using...

For me to get VVols to work, it wasn't the "short name" that I needed to use, but rather the IP address, i.e.:https://10.201.30.184:8443/vasa/version.xml VVols and policies were working great for...
