We're getting a new drawer of drives soon, but out Celerra guy needs to upgrade our "codes" (his word) first. This is easy enough for our Primary stack, but not so much for our DR stack (back up, failover, etc.). I know the IP for Celerra CS (and the SPA and SPB) for the Primary, but I don't know it for the DR.
Here's what I do know: When I look at the storage settings in the vSphere Client I see two data stores that both point to 192.168.16.10. I can ping that IP, but web and SSH fail. When I look at /vmfs/volumes on one of the ESX hosts in DR, the names there correspond to the "Folder" name under Datastore Details in vSphere.
This makes me think that 192.168.16.10 is related to the DR storage. Also, as a vSphere monkey and not a SAN expert, I'm only vaguely aware that Celerra's SAN partition their drives and network attachments in various ways, so that may be a part of the SAN. However, is there any to use that information to figure out where the Celerra CS for the DR is?
I'm attaching a screenshot of the vSphere Storage configuration screen in case my second paragraph makes no sense.
Thanks in advance.
