A few questions about ESXi queueing

Hi,

a few questions about queues in ESXi for the storage gurus :

1. What is the relation between WQLEN value shown in ESXTOP and Maximum Outstanding Disk Requests (described in VMware KB:    Setting the Maximum Outstanding Disk Requests for virtual machines)?

2. Why is WQLEN column showing a value of 32 in ESXi 5.0 and no value in ESXi 5.5? And, yes I have expanded the storage device to show all the active worlds

3. Why is the DQLEN value flapping between 32 and 128 in ESXi when software iSCSI adapter is used? I have noticed a few more threads with this question (e.g. Revisiting queue depth settings and disk.schednumreqoutstanding and DQLEN values changing in esxtop while system running?) but no answer so far. I'm not using SIOC, adaptive queue depth throttling is configured, but the array's ports aren't saturated.

BR,

Nebojsa
