Mapped Raw LUN issue - I can't increase the size.

Hello,

I am having trouble increasing the disk size on one of our servers because it is running out of room. The disk I need to increase is a Mapped Raw LUN device though (Raw device mapping). I went through and read this article: VMware KB: Expanding the size of a Raw Device Mapping (RDM) but I don't think it fully pertains to my issue.

The disk that I am trying to increase is in physical compatibility mode, and in the article it appears easy to increase if it is setup this way. Unfortunately I don't think that our case is so easy. The reason that I think that is because when I go into the datastore that this mapped raw lun falls under, there are 7 other machines using this datastore the same way. If I increase this data store, then wouldn't it affect the other machines/clients on that data store? I just need to increase the disk for the one machine.

As you can see from the picture below (NetApp OnCommand System Manager) the total space is 633 GB for this volume, and the available space is 309.66 GB, so there should be plenty of room to give.

Can anyone please help me with this? What would be the best way to go about it? Please let me know if there is any other information needed to help solve this issue.

Thanks
