I had the same issue exact issue ... What your current configuration connecting to your data store ? Iscsi ? NFS ? Are you using a standard switch or distribution switch ? ... I've seen them on both ends ..  I have a few way for you to confirm connectivity to your san and vice versa and what to look on your ..
