The LUN of the datastore belongs to the Dynamic Provisioning Pool so it has Thin Provisioning capability.

Ok, then if LUN are really thin provisioning on the Hitachi, then the view is correct, since VMware does not reclaim the free space automatticaly and you will need do this manually, take a look at the...
